The Story

Southeast Spice is not just a business; it's a labor of love and a testament to the power of family, tradition, and the pursuit of culinary dreams. As a small, family-owned enterprise, we take immense pride in sharing the vibrant flavors of Laos with the world.

Our Roots 

Our journey begins with a first-generation refugee family from Laos, and at the helm of it all is Davanh, our founder. Davanh was born in  Savanhnaket, Laos. Her and her family settled in Louisiana.  As she matured and ventured further from her roots, she couldn't help but miss the comforting embrace of her family's cooking, particularly the fiery, delectable Lao spicy sauces. Faced with a dilemma – fly back home every time for a taste of home or take matters into her own hands and learn to make them.  This is how Davanh started creating.  She quickly realized she was not alone in her quest for authentic Lao flavors. This realization ignited a spark within her, and she envisioned a dream: to make Lao-inspired hot sauces accessible to everyone.
